The HESAA curriculum provides a comprehensive understanding of student affairs and higher education and prepares individuals to work within this dynamic environment. Colleges and universities are diverse settings, constantly evolving based on the needs of students and societal forces. Graduates of the HESAA program are prepared to work with diverse populations and adapt to the changing landscape of higher education.
The curriculum provides a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, preparing reflective and ethical practitioners who respond with intentionality.
Total Required Credit Hours (36 credits)
All courses are 3 credit hours unless otherwise indicated.
Select three courses from any of the following areas (all selected courses are selected under advisement):
B. Counseling and Student Development
C. Community Education
D. Research and Evaluation
E. Any Concentration Area
Other elective courses may be selected from related courses/workshops in various disciplines or interdisciplinary areas with adviser approval.
