The HESAA curriculum provides a comprehensive understanding of student affairs and higher education and prepares individuals to work within this dynamic environment. Colleges and universities are diverse settings, constantly evolving based on the needs of students and societal forces. Graduates of the HESAA program are prepared to work with diverse populations and adapt to the changing landscape of higher education. The curriculum provides a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, preparing reflective and ethical practitioners who respond with intentionality.

Select three (3) courses from our elective offerings. Electives are offered on a rotating basis and will not be offered every semester. Students should consult with their adviser to determine appropriate electives based on professional goals. HESAA students may take electives that fulfill credits for the Assessment in Student Affairs Advanced Graduate Certificate and/or the Micro Credential in Data Management & Storytelling.
